El chef / propietario Marc Powers es originario de Lake Tapps, Washington, EE. UU. Durante los últimos 35 años, el chef Marc ha desarrollado su pasión por la gastronomía mientras vive en lugares únicos: Inglaterra, Bermudas, Cuba, Argentina, Missouri, Nueva York, Florida, Carolina del Sur, Los Ángeles, California y ahora Dénia, España.
El chef Marc se graduó en el Culinary Institute of America y ha trabajado para compañías como The Ritz-Carlton, The Park Hyatt, Wolfgang Puck, The Golf Club en Briar´s Creek y Bon Appétit.
Luego de abrir exitosamente The Huntington Library en Pasadena, California como el Chef Ejecutivo que supervisa 6 locales, un brigada de 4 Sous Chefs y 45 cocineros, el Chef Marc y su familia decidieron cambiar de marcha y buscar una empresa más personal que finalmente los llevó a establecerse. Dénia y abrir la BLACK MARKET BBQ!

Chef/Owner Marc Powers is a native of Lake Tapps, Washington, USA. Over the past 35 years Chef Marc has pursued his passion in gastronomy while living in some unique places: England, Bermuda, Cuba, Argentina, as well as Missouri, New York, Florida, South Carolina, Los Angeles California and now Denia, Spain

After successfully opening The Huntington Library in Pasadena, California as the Executive Chef overseeing 6 venues, a staff of 4 Sous Chefs and 45 cooks, Chef Marc and his family decided to change gears and pursue a more personal venture which eventually led them to settle in Denia and open BLACK MARKET BBQ
